When the road is blocked, care finds a way

Recently, one of our patients found themselves isolated by rising floodwaters, cut off from the outside world and in the middle of their chemotherapy journey. But thanks to the extraordinary teamwork between View Health – chemo@home and the incredible State Emergency Service (SES), help arrived right on time.

With the flood threatening to delay vital treatment, the NSW SES stepped in without hesitation, navigating dangerous conditions to get our chemo@home nurse through. It wasn’t just a rescue, it was a lifeline.

This moment reminded us that healthcare isn’t just about medicine; it’s about compassion, commitment, and community.
