Doris Staltari was first diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer 41 years ago.
“She is one of nine women at Bethanie Waters Port Kennedy Lifestyle Village who have come together to create a calendar called Fifty Shades of Pink to raise funds for Breast Care Nurses.
The choice to support Breast Care Nurses was partly born from Doris’ experience. In 2016, when her cancer re-emerged, Doris turned to chemo@home, a company that provides chemotherapy treatments delivered by experienced nurses in the comfort of patients’ homes. This service has allowed her to maintain a sense of normalcy and dignity, avoiding the frequent and often exhausting trips to the hospital. She’s just had her 97th chemotherapy treatment since 2016 from the chemo@home nurses.”
We love you and your strong, fun-loving spirit, Doris!
