Subcutaneous (SC) Ocrelizumab Now Available

We’re letting you know that subcutaneous (SC) ocrelizumab is now available through View Health – chemo@home as an alternative to intravenous (IV) ocrelizumab.

This new option offers the same treatment but is given as an injection into the abdomen over approximately 10 minutes rather than through an infusion.

 

Your Specialist Has Been Informed

Your neurologist has already been notified that SC ocrelizumab is available.
If you’re interested in learning whether SC treatment might be suitable for you, we encourage you to discuss this at your next specialist appointment.

Your specialist will guide you on whether switching from IV to SC is appropriate for your individual circumstances.

 

What to Expect With SC Ocrelizumab

• Given as a single injection into the abdomen
• Takes around 10 minutes
• For patients transitioning from IV, the first SC dose includes a 60‑minute observation period
• Future doses usually don’t require observation unless clinically needed
• Dosing continues every 6 months, just like IV treatment
